Skins

We live in a culture where we are constantly exposed to idealised, edited images of bodies. Through commecials and fictious, happy, beautiful people and through social media, where we follow smoothed out surfaces of each others lives. But what about the wrinkles and what about the textures?

In this series I am exploring our surfaces, our skins, in a merging with images of nature. I have used a macrolense to get close to surfaces, skins and textures in nature. Leaves, mold, branches. I have merged the nature skins with body skins in order to explore the beauty of our bodies in a different way. The fragility, the sensuousness, the imperfection. The series consists of 11 photos here you can see 3 of them.
